Course Description

This is a nationally recognised Further Education and Training (FET) Certificate registered on SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) and the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4.

As a vocational qualification, it is designed to develop the practical knowledge, skills, and workplace competencies required within the field of Business Management, including leadership, management, planning, budgeting, communication, and operational processes applicable across a wide range of industries.

While an FET Certificate is not a National Senior Certificate (Matric), both are registered on NQF Level 4 and form part of South Africa’s formal education framework. This qualification may provide access to employment opportunities within the field of Office Administration and further studies in related fields, subject to the admission requirements of the institution concerned.

Course Information

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is a South African Grade 11 with two South African Languages and Mathematical Literacy or an appropriate NQF Level 3 qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements to be considered for admission based on relevant prior learning, workplace experience and existing competencies.

At IBM College, we consider formal qualifications, workplace experience, informal learning and professional development when evaluating eligibility for admission, while maintaining the academic standards of each qualification.

If you wish to apply through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, please email your supporting documentation to info@institutebm.org.za for evaluation before completing an online registration.

Applicants applying through RPL may only register once they have received formal written confirmation of acceptance from IBM College via email.

To ensure learners have immediate proof of achievement, IBM College issues an Official Digital Certificate upon successful completion of the programme. The Embossed Hard-Copy Certificate is then formally presented on stage during the Graduation Ceremony.
