Course content
The Higher Certificate: Office Administration (NQF 5) is the 2nd level of the ICB Small Business Management Programme. The programme consists of 12 subjects that build on each other.
In the this level, you will complete 5 subjects, and after successful completion you will be able to proceed to the next level: Business Accountant. The five subjects of the Higher Certificate: Office Administration are:
- 4 – Office and Legal Practice (OLPR)
- 5 – Business Management 2 (BMT2)
- 6 – Financial Statements – (FNST)
- 7 – Financial Statements (FNST)
- 8 – Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRLR)

How to study this programme
The Higher Certificate: Office Adminsitration is broken down into 5 subjects, which are entered and examined individually by the ICB.
The Institute of Business Management – IBM is your training provider while the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) is the examining body.
Once you have passed all subjects in a qualification, the qualification is awarded by the ICB and FASSET. You may then proceed to the National Diploma: Financial Accounting qualification.
Learner Assistance
You will be assigned a learner assistant that will help you throughout the duration of your studies for up to 15 months.

National Certificate: Small Business Financial Management (must include the Business Management 1 subject).
Course Fee
R 19 647 (once-off full payment)
The course fee includes textbooks, delivery and learner support for up to 15 months, but does not include the exam fee (R 730) and annual ICB registration fee (R 400).
Additional costs for delivery outside South Africa.
