Every business, large or small, needs someone to manage their books. Doing this qualification will teach you indispensable bookkeeping and accounting skills, and you can advance yourself further and become an accountant.

The Bookkeeping Intermediate qualification is broken down into 2 subjects, which are entered and examined individually by the ICB. The ICB provides a (PoE) Portfolio of Evidence for each subject and exams are written at designated ICB venues or online.

Course fee includes PRO Version Textbooks and delivery, comprehensive learner assistance and support through the entire study process.

5.Financial Statements (FNST)

Monthly bookkeeping; asset disposal; year-end adjustments; International Financial Reporting Standards for SMMEs; branch accounts; incomplete records; analysis of financial statements; understand cash flow.

6.Cost and Management Accounting (CMGT)

Basic cost and management accounts; prepare manufacturing accounts; costing and budgeting.

How to study this programme

The Institute of Business Management – IBM is your training provider while the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) is the examining body. You first have to enroll with the Institute of Business Management – IBM, select an exam date and enter an exam for each module. When you enter for your exam, you receive a digital PoE (Portfolio of Evidence) with all the tests and assignments.  Your study material will be couriered to you included in the course fee. For the National Certificate of Bookkeeping Intermediate level you receive 2 learner guides and 2 PoE’s and you enter and write 4 exams.

This PoE includes 3 assignments and 2 tests and is completed by the student during their study phase. Each PoE is submitted and assessed together with a final exam.

Once a student has passed all subjects in a qualification, the qualification is awarded by the ICB and FASSET.

Learner Assistance

You will be assigned a learner assistant that will help you with your studies for a duration of up to 1 year. Learner assistants may be contacted by email or telephone.

Installment Payment Options

As soon as your payment is received we order your first set of textbooks and  prepare your study pack for dispatch. You can pay in full, or pay an initial amount of R 2 700 followed by 2 monthly payments of R 2 010 p/m.
